Mando is today pleased to announce the promotion of Andy Pimlett from Head of Front-End Development to the Strategic Board as Product Director.

The move comes as part of Mando’s commitment to driving digital transformation and reflects the business decision to expand both their offering and the primary commercial engagement layers available to clients.

Mando has developed their positioning to offer three core commercial engagement layers, they are as follows:

Support – Reactive break fix incident resolution and managed services including design, release management, uptime monitoring, non-cloud development and more, delivered 24/7/365

Product – Proactive solutions and on demand consultation to deliver continuous measured improvements. This layer looks a range of items not limited to – website optimisation, UX design, code resilience, DXP configuration, CRO and analytics.

Consultancy - Strategically-led transformational change. In this layer Mando builds KPI frameworks, lays out a digital vision, curates roadmaps and provides strategic evaluation of a businesses now, next and, future.

Andy, who joined Mando five years ago to evolve and mature the frontend development approach towards enterprise standards, will make the move from his current position as Head of Front-End Development and will sit on the board as the representative for the product engagement layer.

Speaking about Andy’s promotion, Mando CEO and MD, Ian Finch said: “We’re delighted to be working with Andy and welcome him to the board.

“The stuff Andy has done behind the scenes with regard to pushing our ‘Product’ offering forward so wonderfully over the last six to nine months, has been a game changer.

“I’ve done a lot of market research and am confident that Andy has really got the underlying philosophy right. His experience will drive forward our product development and will open up new markets for us.”

Discussing the move Andy said: “I am delighted I am to be moving into a new role at Mando – one that is more in line with the focus of my efforts over the last few months.

“We’re going to be building out a new philosophy and delivery approach to product development; one that focuses on the total product lifecycle, proactive optimisation and prioritisation of customer value.

“Since I joined Mando I have been heavily involved in the delivery of some of our biggest pieces of work. An increased exposure to the commercial activities of our engagements provided me a unique perspective on where our account management philosophy converges with our delivery methodology.

“All of this has shifted us towards a ‘Product’ oriented service culture. This is a significant strategic endeavour that will now be my responsibility to deliver across the next 18-24 months alongside our two other primary engagement approaches of Support and Consulting.”

As part of a dedicated approach to championing talent within the organisation and creating opportunities for growth, Mando continues to evolve, Andy’s appointment to the Strategic Board means that Phil Gilligan will become Head of Front-End.
