It comes after Ian was named 'Leadership in Corporate Responsibility Director of the Year' at the regional IoD awards in the North West.

Claire Ebrey, North West Regional Director at the Institute of Directors said:

"The awards embody the IoD's philosophy of encouraging entrepreneurial activity and promoting responsible business practice for the benefit of the business community and society as a whole. The achievements of these business leaders are a real celebration of this."

Mando firmly believes in contributing to the local community, as well the industry it sits within.

As part of this ethos, 18 months ago, Ian set up the Liverpool branch of the British Interactive Media Association (BIMA). The group welcomes digital professionals of all backgrounds and disciplines to come together to build relationships. In recent years Liverpool has experienced the second-fastest growth in new digital companies, more than doubling its number of digital firms (Tech Nation report). This local branch of BIMA will support this and, through working together with other agencies, will help to ensure that Liverpool remains at the forefront of the industry.

Ian has since been appointed to the national BIMA Executive Board, where he will be able to assist with shaping the future of the industry at a national level.

Mando is also a regular participant in the BIMA Digital Day, where the team goes out to a local college and runs a one-day workshop with the students, leading them through the creative process to respond to corporate briefs from leading UK organisations.

Over the past 8 years, under Ian's leadership, Mando has contributed almost £150k to causes locally, nationally and globally.
